Bill Samber was a kind, thoughtful, and inspiring gentleman.  If you were to say that God blessed us through his presence, Mr. Samber might say then we are all blessed.  In today's world a person may live for years without meeting someone they will remember.  I met Bill Samber a couple of years ago, and in a short time he proved to be a person I'll never forget.  It may have been his quiet thoughtful process, his evergy for life, or his short and to the point answers.  Whatever it was it brought a smile to my face and I can truly say that I am glad to have met and known him.  Our prayers go out to his family and know that God will continue to bless you through having known him.

To the Samber Family:

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. William Samber, Sr. en route to my scholarship interview in Queens, NY. During this time, he shared with my mother and me a plethora of stories about his life as a Tuskegee Airmen. Needless to say, we were both very impressed about his achievements and were honored to even be in the presence of such an esteemed gentleman. We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to you at this time. Just know that he has and continues to touch the lives of young people everyday through his experiences as an Airmen and also through his scholarship fund, and for that, us youth today are very grateful and appreciative.

In our thoughts and prayers,
Tylah Johnson & Family
